BIG MISTAKE: Television above the fireplace. You shouldn't hang it there.

BIG MISTAKE: Television above the fireplace

You shouldn't hang it there.
Will the fireplace lose its charm and the television its ergonomics?
The alternative proposals:
Put the television next to the fireplace, on a side table.
If your space is large enough, divide it into two sections, one of which will have the fireplace where you can relax by the fire, and the other will have the television.

Put it on the wall that is perpendicular to the fireplace.

Let's get started then:

The living room is the space where you relax and have fun with your relatives and friends.
When there is also a fireplace, the atmosphere becomes even more "warm," welcoming, and cozy.
Often, in spaces designed this way, the television is placed directly above the fireplace, initially to fill the gap and secondly, because they think it is aesthetically preferable.
But is this choice as safe as you imagine for you and your health?
To answer this, we will refer to those times when your good mother reminded you how destructive television is for your eyes and your spine.
Additionally, there are other arguments regarding style and decoration that explain why you shouldn't place it there.
Her height deprives you of enjoyment.
The television should be at eye level when we are sitting.
When the television is above the fireplace, you are forced to lift your head higher to watch a program, resulting in neck strain instead of relaxation.
Its size exceeds the dimensions of the fireplace.
When the dimensions do not match the dimensions of the fireplace, the result is unappealing, with the space "losing" in taste.
The chaos from the devices connected to the TV
Consider the case where, in addition to the television, you need to place at the same spot, above the fireplace and the other devices connected to it, such as the DVD or video games. Is it possible for all of that to fit there?
Finally, avoid placing the television (on the fireplace or on furniture) near a window or balcony door. If the screen is exposed to direct sunlight, then the image will be blurry.

Put it on the wall that is perpendicular to the fireplace.
If you still insist on placing the TV above the fireplace, then you should install an energy-efficient fireplace with a door, and only if you are sure that you won't need to frequently intervene in the TV's wiring. You should also know that heat rises "high," so when you open the door, the suddenly high heat will go directly to the TV. You should avoid this.
Regarding the materials, you should definitely install rock wool internally throughout the entire construction, or even better, "cover" the area where the TV will be placed with marble or a similar material so that the heat does not affect the TV.
In summary, if you use the fireplace and the television very little, then put the TV in the fireplace. It will have a beautiful exhibition-type aesthetic result.
But if you often use the fireplace or the television, then it would be wrong to put the TV on the fireplace.
Finally, placing a flat-screen TV above the fireplace is a rather common decorative trend, but it has no practical benefits and many functional issues, so it's not the best idea.
